Overview
Our organization is an association of academics and practitioners from a wide range of disciplines working in the field of sustainable and inclusive development. All of us are driven by the urgent need for dialogue between policy makers, businesses, academia and civil society to achieve inclusive and sustainable development. Although there is no dearth of knowledge and initiatives for inclusive development in today’s interconnected world, a significant section of the world population continues to be deprived of even the basic human needs and rights. There is no doubt that people in general are better off than they were some decades ago; however, a lot more needs to be accomplished in the future for all the people in the world to have a decent standard of living. We believe that inclusiveness and sustainability are inextricably like Siamese twins. Without inclusiveness, sustainability is not possible, and if there is inclusiveness, sustainability must follow. We also believe that diversity in social, economic and political circumstances calls for diversity in approaches to foster inclusive development, and communication among different stakeholders is the key in this regard. Our endeavour is to bring together individuals and institutions who appreciate this fact and are ready to share their knowledge and experiences not only within their own networks but with the world at large. Thus, we always welcome individuals and institutions with similar beliefs to contribute to our aspiration of making inclusive and sustainable development a reality.

Our Vision and Mission
The overarching aim of our organization is to contribute to inclusive and sustainable development agenda of our society. Our focus, therefore, is on promoting sustainable and inclusive development through training and capacity building of stakeholders, policy research, advocacy, consultancy and guiding implementation in partnerships with teams engaged in similar tasks in India and abroad. Our organization strives to follow a multi-disciplinary approach that is based on the principles of equal opportunity, gender equality, pluralism and democratic decision making. An important element of our activities is to promote the inclusive development agenda among the younger generation. In our view sensitizing the youth to the inclusive development agenda is crucial for taking it forward. We, therefore, encourage the younger generation to not only participate actively in our activities, but also provide them with leadership opportunities. Thus, by building communication ladders in society, both horizontally and vertically, we aim to actualize our motto – inclusiveness and sustainability are two sides of the same coin.
