Biswajit Sen retired as a Senior Rural Development Specialist in the World Bank. He was responsible for designing and managing a one billion US dollar portfolio of projects centred around Rural Livelihoods, including the National Rural livelihood Mission. He was also Chairperson of PRADAN, the National level NGO working on Community based Rural Development projects. In addition He founded nonprofit organisations like Nalanda and GDS in the area of nutrition and education. He did his graduation in Economics from Hindu College, Delhi University and MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.
