Dr. Badri Narayanan Gopalakrishnan is an applied economist working on a wide range of policy issues surrounding trade, climate, energy, environment, technology and development. He co-founded PMAID along with Professor Vijay Ojha. He is the founder of Infinite Sum Modeling LLC, and also an affiliate faculty member with Boston College, University of Washington Seattle and Oregon State University. He’s a non-resident Senior Fellow with CSEP and ECIPE, as well as a Distinguished Fellow with PIF India. He was the head of trade policy and international cooperation at NITI Aayog, as Joint Secretary Government of India, from 2021-23, where he currently serves as Non Resident Fellow. He’s been a consultant/advisor to 100+ organizations across the world such as the World Bank, ADB, Afrexim Bank, UN, IMF, WHO, many governments, Fortune 500 companies, McKinsey, KPMG, PWC, Google, Amazon, etc. He’s authored 15 books and over 200 papers.
