Dr. Ravinder Paul Singh Malik

Dr. R.P.S. Malik is a distinguished Economist based in New Delhi. He has over 45 years of research experience working in areas of water economics and water resource management; agricultural economics; energy economics; and resource economics. He has a Ph.D. in Economics from Delhi School of Economics and M.Sc. in Agricultural Statistics from IASRI. Over the years Dr. Malik has been associated with a large number of institutions including with Agricultural Economics Research Centre, Himachal Pradesh University and University of Delhi; World Resources Institute, Washington DC; Afro-Asian Rural Development Organisation, India; International Institute of Sustainable Development, Geneva; IFPRI; Small Scale Sustainable Infrastructure Development Fund; etc. He later worked as Principal Researcher (Economics) with International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and subsequently was associated with IWMI as Emeritus Scientist. He has had a long association of working with The World Bank for several years working both as a Consultant and a Senior Water Resources Specialist. He has also been an Advisor with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLP. Dr. Malik has published extensively in reputed academic journals and has also authored a large number of policy research reports. Three books on water resource management, co-authored by Dr. Malik, have been published by The World Bank.
