Dr. Shekhar Kumar Sinha is a Professor and Area Chair, Economics and Public Policy at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi (LBSIM). His Academic and Corporate Experience comprises of 10 years of Teaching and more than 36 years in Government of India at very senior positions. He has been former Secretary to Government of India , and Director General(Posts), Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications . He was actively associated with Policy Formulation and Co-ordination in the Government of India, and has planned and implemented organization-wide policies. He led the transformation of India Post through Project Arrow for which Department received the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration.
Post retirement he first worked as Adjunct Professor of Economics at Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad from December 2016 to November 2022. Since then he is at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi.
He possesses extensive knowledge of productivity and efficiency studies of infrastructure and service sector. His area of Research / Interest are in Productivity and Efficiency, and in Digital Transformation of Government Organizations.
